Eric Testroete has been creating characters for the game industry for the past decade in Vancouver. For his halloween costume this year, he crafted a paper head inspired by the ubiquitous “big-head” mode from video games. Utilizing software with intimidating titles such as 3ds Max 2009, Mudbox 2010, and Pepakura, Eric created this multi-faceted geosphere look with wireframe technology. For those interested in all the gory details, his final triangle count was 370 and the pieces were printed on 28 letter-sized pieces of 61-pound matte paper. He designed it so it could fit over his head, sit on his shoulders and then be held down by a jacket.
